MEET THE FOUNDER
Mukhtar Ibrahim
Mukhtar Ibrahim is an award-winning journalist and media entrepreneur who builds institutions that last.
He founded Sahan Journal, Minnesota's first nonprofit newsroom for immigrant communities and communities of color, and built it into one of the country's most respected.
He previously reported for the Star Tribune and Minnesota Public Radio News. He holds a master's degree from Columbia University and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management.
The Somali Brief builds on that experience with a model designed for how people find and share information today.
